Privacy Policy for Morgonaut Apps
Effective Date: April 24, 2026
Revertory is a macOS app created by [Your legal name or company name]. This Privacy Policy explains how Revertory handles data.
Revertory is designed as a local developer utility for creating and restoring Git-based snapshots of local Xcode project folders.
1. Data Collection
Revertory does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data.
The app does not use:
- Advertising SDKs
- Analytics SDKs
- Tracking technologies
- User accounts
- Cloud sync
- Remote logging
- Third-party crash reporting
- In-app messaging or social features
Revertory’s core functionality runs locally on your Mac.
2. Local Data Stored on Your Mac
Revertory may store certain information locally on your device to make the app work correctly, including:
- Selected project folder access bookmarks
- Recent project references
- App settings and preferences
- Appearance, automation, and retention settings
- Snapshot names and metadata
- Local diagnostic or telemetry files used for troubleshooting
- Git snapshot data inside the selected project folder
This data remains on your Mac and is not uploaded to Revertory, [Your legal name or company name], or any third-party server by the app.
3. Project Files
Revertory accesses project files only after you choose a project folder or Xcode project package.
The app uses this access to:
- Create Git-based snapshots
- Restore selected snapshots
- Search and display snapshot metadata
- Run local diagnostics
- Manage local snapshot history
Your source code, project files, project paths, snapshot names, and Git history are processed locally. Revertory does not upload your project files.
4. Security-Scoped Bookmarks
Because Revertory is a sandboxed macOS app, it may store security-scoped bookmarks locally. These bookmarks allow the app to reopen project folders that you previously selected.
You can remove recent projects from inside the app. You can also delete the app’s local data from your Mac if you no longer want Revertory to remember project access.
5. Diagnostics and Telemetry Files
Revertory may create local diagnostic files to help identify Git, permission, bookmark, or project access issues.
These files are stored locally on your Mac and are not automatically sent anywhere.
If you choose to contact support, you may decide whether to share diagnostic information manually.
6. Network Access
Revertory does not require a user account or cloud service.
The app may open external links, such as the developer website, in your default web browser. Your browser and the visited website may process data according to their own privacy policies.
Purchases, downloads, updates, and App Store-related activity are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple’s privacy policy.
7. Third-Party Software
Revertory may include bundled open-source components, such as Git, to support local snapshot functionality.
These components are used locally by the app. Revertory does not use them to send your project files or personal data to third parties.
8. Tracking
Revertory does not track you across apps or websites.
Revertory does not access advertising identifiers and does not share data with data brokers, advertising networks, or analytics providers.
9. Data Retention
Data stored locally by Revertory remains on your Mac until you remove it.
You can remove data by:
- Clearing recent projects in the app
- Deleting snapshots from the app
- Removing Revertory’s local app data from your Mac
- Deleting the app
- Removing Git snapshot data from the selected project folder, if appropriate
10. Children’s Privacy
Revertory is a developer utility and is not directed at children. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If changes are made, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
